Math Madness Contests

Math Madness contests will be held in both the fall and spring. This nation-wide competition is team-based and between hundreds of middle schools and high schools. Matches are 30 minutes long and are played on the competition's website, so laptops are needed. Students must also be registered with the team, so talk to any officer if your account is not yet registered. The 2018 season officially opens the week of September 30.

The American Mathematics Contest 10 (AMC 10), for any student up to grade 10, the American Mathematics Contest 12 (AMC 12), for any student up to grade 12, and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), by invitation based on scores from the AMC 10/12. The AMC is held once per year in February, followed by the AIME in March.

WPI Math Meet, Harvard/MIT Math Competition

Both are onsite competitions, where only one team of a few top students are invited to attend. The teams will be selected by our club advisor and officers. Results in previous years math competitions are used as the primary determining factor when selecting students to attend these prestigious events. THE WPI Math Meet occurs sometime during the fall and the HMMT this year will be on November 10, 2018 at Harvard and February 16, 2019 at MIT.
