Scalestorm is a student-led a cappella group from Natick High School, located in Natick, Massachusetts. Scalestorm was founded in 2016 by Caroline Hinrichs and Elizabeth Sparicio. Scalestorm has grown to have 22 members for the 2018-19 school year, across all four graduating classes. Everyone loves making music together and performing around the community! With sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, and vocal percussion, we perform lots of oldies but classics, new pop songs, and everything in between! Scalestorm has notably performed at TEDx Natick, Montrose A Cappella Jam, Medfield High A Cappella Night, among much more. To see our upcoming events, click here. Sam is a senior and is looking forwards to working with Scalestorm! He has been a part of the group since it was formed in 2016, and is the vocal percussionist for the group, as well as a bass. Outside of a cappella, Sam enjoys participating in musicals, working out, and styling his hair. He is extremely excited for all of the new and amazing opportunities that Scalestorm is going to have this year, and is ready to foster a fun and productive environment for the group.
Julia is a senior and has been a part of Scalestorm since the creation of the group during her freshman year. She is also a member of Chamber Singers and has been a part of the Natick Choir Program for 3 years. When Julia is not at Scalestorm rehearsal, she can be found in rehearsal for the Boston Children's Chorus, doing chemistry homework or dreaming about becoming a lawyer. She is beyond excited for the coming year as Performance coordinator and is so happy that she gets to spend her senior year with a group that she loves so much!
Bailey is a junior and is incredibly excited to continue to be Scalestorm's Public Relations Officer for a second year! Bailey joined Scalestorm in 2017 at the start of his freshman year and has enjoyed every minute of it. In addition to Scalestorm, he is currently a member of Men's Choir, West Street Singers, and NHS Drama, within the NHS Arts Deptartment. Bailey avidly enjoys leadership opportunities and is also currently President of the Class of 2021, Publicity Chair of the Choir Board, and a member of the Principal's Roundtable, and was the Producer for Natick High Drama's student-run production of "Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical" in Spring 2019. With a love for both the arts and leadership, Bailey cannot wait to combine these interests with this position and make everlasting memories with this amazing group!
