Band students are encouraged to continue lessons (which now happen after school) with their same instructor. 5th and 6th grade band meet during the school day three days out of a six-day cycle whereas 7th and 8th grade band meet two days out of a six day cycle. With more opportunities to work as an ensemble, students are given more opportunities to perform for an audience. Some of the additional opportunities include: 5th grade select band, Jazz band, and Honors band. (all occur after school).
