5th and 6th grade choir meets during the school day, three days out of a six day cycle whereas 7th and 8th grade choir meet two days out of the six day cycle. With more opportunities to work as an ensemble, students are given more opportunities to perform for an audience. Some of these additional opportunities include specialty chorus, and the Kennedy musical (both occur after school).
