All About Emma

One of the projects that we did in class was the Magazine cover. It was one of the first projects that we did in the class that really helped further my idea of design. I decided to recreate a Time magazine of Angelina Jolie. I learned multiple design principles on making this site and tried my best to recreate the cover like the original. Throughout this project I was constantly learning new rules about design and photoshop. Now that I have a feel for photoshop, my skills may be useful in the future for other projects and tasks. Design is a very important skill to know because I will always have to use my design skills in the future to analyze websites and know how to differ from a good website and a bad website.

From this project I also learned a lot about my classmates. I learned what magazines they like and topics that they were intrested in. One girl, Maddy, recreated a photo of a magazine cover of her and her dog. I found out that she has had her dog Shannon for 8 years and she is a yellow lab terrier mix. I also found out that her love for animals is strong and that in the future she may want to persue a career with animals, which I found very interesting. From other students, I learned their strongest intresets like cars, sports and even their aspiring careers! It was a great way to slowly get to know the class. I am glad that I got to see the rest of the class and their ideas of design.
